Patiala House, slated for release on 11th February, 2011, is a film about cross generational conflict amongst Indians abroad. The protagonist of the film, Parghat Singh Kahlon aka Gattu, played by Akshay Kumar is an aspiring cricketer who wishes to play for England, much to the disappointment and disapproval of his conservative father. Gattu’s focus in life changes after he comes across Simran (Anushka Sharma), who makes him realize his true aspirations. Set in England, the film is directed by Nikhil Advani. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma, the film also has veteran actors like Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia in supporting roles.
