Jannat 2 is the Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming crime thriller   film and sequel of the 2008 hit Jannat. Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt are the producers and directed by Kunal Deshmukh. The Film also features a Randeep Hooda, Imran Zahid and Esha Gupta .Movie is expected to release on May 4 , 2012.

The new Jannat 2, sequel of 2008 hit ‘Jannat’ will soon hit the screens in the month of May. Emraan Khan Starrer film will be released on May 4, 2012. Randeep Hooda Imran Zahid and Esha Gupta will support Emraan in the lead roles. The story is based on the issue of illegal arms in Delhi.

Emraan Hashmi has copied underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s style and looks in the film. Initially it was decided to take Prachi Desai as the female lead actress in the film but finally Director Kunal Deshmukh offered Esha Gupta to get in. His belief is that she will be more sensual on screen. Esha, a former Miss India International has also graced the Kingfisher calendar twice. The soundtrack is composed by Pritam Chakraborty.

Tell Me O Khuda is senior Bollywood actress and danseuse, Hema Malini’s second directorial venture, with Dil Aashna Hai which had Shah Rukh Khan and Divya Bharti. The film is being touted as a relaunch for Hema Malini’s daughter, Esha Deol as an attempt to revive her floundering Bollywood caree. Arjan Bajwa will be seen as the male lead opposite Esha Deol. The film also stars some stalwarts of Hindi cinema like Dharamendra, Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna. It will be for the first time that Esha Deol will be sharing screen space with her father Dharamendra. The role was initially offered to Amitabh Bachchan but things did not work out for some reason. “We had offered a role to Amitji for this film. But due to some reasons, it did not work out. I am glad that things did not work out with him and that is the reason Dharamji is in the film,” says Malini. Produced and directed by Hema Malini, Tell Me O Kkhuda, is a drama, that tracks the story of a girl’s passionate quest to know her origins.

Tell Me O Khuda also grabbed the headlines when Hema Malini decided to release her film on the same day as Shah Rukh Khan’s Ra.One. Considering the hype and hullabaloo around Ra.One, everyone was wondering whether Tell Me O Khuda would be able to combat the competition by Ra.One. An unperturbed Hema Malini said, “We had a meeting with the distributors and exhibitors. And we all decided to go for a Diwali release. I was advised against it since ‘RA.One’ is also releasing for Diwali. But it’s not as if people would want to watch only one film during Diwali,” said Hema. “If they like both they’ll see them both. I personally think Diwali is a wonderful window for any auspicious film. Some of the biggest successes have happened during the festive season. So why not go for it?” Hema isn’t afraid of the competition. “We’ve made an emotional father-daughter story. I don’t think we need to fear competition from anyone.”

Akshay and John back again for Desi Boyz

The Garam Masala duo, Aksahy Kumar and John Abraham are back again to tickle your funny bone with their upcoming film, Desi Boyz, which is directed by debutant director Rohit Dhawan.  The film also has Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh in the female leads. The film also has Sanjay Dutt and Omi Vaidya aka Chatur in supporting roles. Pritam has composed the music for this film. The film is supposed to be in theatres on 25th November.

Desi Boyz is set in the back drop of the recession that hit the world a some years back. John Abraham plays the character of Nick while Akshay Kumar is Jerry, Nick’s best friend. Nick is a very successful investment banker in London, who has just got a bonus and has a gorgeous girlfriend, Deepika Padukone. Jerry is jobless, but manages to make ends meet thanks to his best friend, Nick, so for Nick the global meltdown makes no difference. Things take a turn for this happy-go-lucky duo, when Nick’s company decides to downsize and unceremoniously fires him. Jerry is informed by the Social Services that his nephew Veer, whose local guardian is Jerry will be placed in a foster home unless he gets a steady job. Now, the two men who are forced to do something extremely bizarre which gives them instant gratification but the repercussions tear them apart.

Says Rohit Dhawan, “The movie is very much different and does not have my dad’s style of comedy and humour. The humour in my film is subtle while the kind of humour he has in his movies is loud. And it is difficult to do that.”  The film has also been in news due to Akshay Kumar’s daredevil helicopter stunt in which he used to harness and stood at the open door of the chopper without any strapping, very calm and composed!

The first look of Imtiaz Ali’s much awaited ‘Rockstar’ is out. Ranbir Kapoor who plays the title role in the iflm will be seen in a completely new avatar in the film. Ranbir’s character and image in the film is a complete departure from his earlier roles. Ranbir has been projected as a rugged and bearded rockstar which is quite different from his lover boy looks as in previous films. The film combines elements of desire, passion, fame and destruction in the life of a rockstar. The poster of the film that was released recently shows Ranbir as a fiery rockstar wielding a guitar suggesting the burning passion for music. The film is slated for release on 11^th November (1.11.11), a date being considered lucky by many. The trailer of Rockstar has hit the screens along with Salman Khan’s Bodyguard.

‘Rockstar’ marks the debut of Nargis Fakhri, an American model who is of half Pakistani-half Czech origin. The film also features Bollywood’s legendary rockstar, Shammi Kapoor who passed away earlier this month. He will be seen in a jugalbandi sequence with his grand-nephew Ranbir, where Ranbir strums the guitar while Shammi Kapoor plays the shehnai. Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri have also shared a passionate kiss in the film and also get intimate.

The film revolves around Jordan, a budding young musician, who is a little ill at ease around the edges. The young rockstar is compelled to choose his career over his love, when his love life starts intruding into his professional life. But the young heart in love is actually unable to let go and transforms him into a tormented rockstar who is constantly hounded by his past. Hardened by his attempt to control his heart, Jordan’s successful career soon sees him with complete disregard to the law and society.

The legendary AR Rehman has composed the music for Rockstar after a long gap. Ranbir Kapoor had even attended one of the recording sessions of Rahman, just to see the talented composer at work. Besides, the actor wanted to get the feel of the music which in turn would help him to prepare for his character in the movie.

The music of Shah Rukh Khan’s much awaited Ra.One is all set for release in September. But a seventeen second teaser of the ‘Chammak Challo’ song that got leaked a few months back has been released. Read on to know more about the song.

The song ‘Chammak Challo’ evoked much curiosity amongst audiences when the song was leaked a few months back. But now the song’s teaser has had a official release. The seventeen second teaser has Kareena dressed in a sexy red saree dancing to desi beats to a song that has been sung by American R&B singing sensation, Akon. Shah Rukh Khan also matches steps with Kareena in the song. The dance has been choreographed by renowned Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya. The full version of the song will be released soon. “Wanna Be My Chammak Challo” are the lyrics of the film.

The song has been in the eye of a storm for quite for some time now, first for its trial version being leaked online and then Shah Rukh dragging a jewelry brand to court for using the song for a ramp walk. The full version of the song will be out on television soon. Shahrukh Khan had tweeted – “Ra.One music to release in September…can’t wait to put Chamak Challo on TV in the next few days.
